Enjoy Some Time Away From Home at Pulai Springs Resort – Part 1

By Moazan Emran

As I drive in to Pulai Springs Resort, I already feel like I’m on a holiday, as the resort is tucked away nicely in the outskirts of the city away from all the noise and hustle. The resort is located amongst the glorious flora and fauna at the foothills of Mount Pulai. It’s strategically located within 15-30 from Senai Airport, JPO, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, Puteri Harbour and more.

The award winning resort features 140 well-appointed rooms at Cinta Ayu and another 22 luxurious rooms at the Anugraha Boutique Hotel, located within Pulai Springs Resort.
1 Bedroom Suite (Main Bedroom, walk in closet and toilet)

Rooms at Cinta Ayu Resort consist of Studio Suites and one bedroom to four-bedroom apartment suites. The Anugraha Boutique Hotel has also been awarded ‘Best luxury Suite Hotel – Country Level’ in the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2015 held in Hong Kong. The resort’s dining options include the award winning Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant, Cinta Terrace Restaurant, Cinta Deli and the Elephant & Castle pub which is available for guests to relax and unwind at night (plus open for private events and groups of 20 people minimum).

Day 1: Lunch at Qing Palace (Indonesian Style Curry Fish)

While waiting to check in, our host Ally suggested that we go and have lunch at our first stop, which was the Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant, a restaurant famed for its authentic Szechuan cuisine. Although Qing Palace doesn’t have Halal certification (no pork no lard), but the food is prepared with Muslim specifications. Not knowing what to order, we allowed our host to take the wheel and order us a few dishes. I have to say, I was extremely happy with the food. My favourite dish was the Szechuan Hot and Sour Soup; it was packed with flavours and warmed me up just nice.

After the amazing lunch, I was really looking forward to checking in and dozing off for a couple of hours. When I got to the room, the first thing I noticed was how big and spacious the room was. The room comes fully equipped with a kitchenette, walk in closet, and a beautiful bathroom.

Pulai Springs Resort Recreation Room

After my tour around the Resort’s recreation facilities, which include an 18-hole golf course, a footgolf course which is the latest addition there involving a combined game of football and golf, a unisex spa (The Pulai Spa), a swimming pool at Cinta Ayu building and four other pools at the Clubhouse comprising a lap pool, horizon pool, a kids pool and a baby pool, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, gym and Cineplex. The Sports Centre also offers both indoor and outdoor activities such as Tee-Tee club (children indoor play Centre), bicycles for rent, DVR ride games, Harley bikes, games arcade, tie and dye Batik Painting, team building activities and more.

The DVR ride games utilise VR technology and comes with 3-4 selection of games lasting 3-5 minutes each but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re prone to motion sickness, but if not, then it’s really good fun. For the Harley bikes, I only managed to get about 10 minutes on them as it was about to rain, but it’s definitely a ton of fun riding around the resort exploring, though I wish the riding course was much bigger.
